How might AI become a companion instead of another screen

The ideation process began by taking inspiration from the reference board while keeping the research findings, ergonomic understanding, and component analysis at the center of the design approach. These references helped in setting the visual tone and gave direction for exploring different forms, details, and overall product language. During this phase, the goal was to turn all the learnings from the previous stages into concepts that feel both functional and meaningful.

The components were analyzed by understanding the functions and features the product needed to perform. This mainly focused on identifying the space requirements of each component and how they would be arranged together to support the overall working of the product. The volume helped create a practical boundary for the design process and gave a clearer direction for form development. It also helped in balancing the internal structure with the external form, ensuring that the product remains functional, well-organized, and comfortable to use while maintaining a clean and refined design language.

Impact

LIVO reimagines the relationship between people and AI by shifting technology from being screen-centric to presence-centric. Instead of demanding constant attention, it quietly supports everyday routines through contextual interactions and thoughtful interventions. The project explores how AI can become a companion that enhances productivity, wellbeing, and routine continuity while remaining calm, approachable, and emotionally aware.
